Danielle Maguire

Hi! My name Danielle Maguire, a Minneapolis-based designer dedicated to creating functional, elevated, and visually compelling spaces for both commercial and residential environments. With a strong focus on form and function, I work to transform spaces into thoughtfully designed experiences that balance beauty, usability, and lasting impact.

My design style leans moody and elegant, layered with rich textures, tonal palettes, and thoughtful patterns. I believe spaces should feel timeless, functional, and inviting—but never too precious. I want your home (or business!) to be a place where people actually live: where friends gather, wine is poured, popcorn is shared, and even the smallest spaces are designed to bring people together.

MOODBOARDS

Style 1

THE MODERN VILLA

This mood board feels warm, sunlit, and richly layered, like golden hour in a Mediterranean villa. The veined marble, deep green tile, natural wood, and soft camel tones create a space that feels grounded yet luminous. It's organic, elevated, and quietly radiant. Poetic but Polished. Light moves across veined marble and warm wood, softened by muted greens and brushed brass. Structured yet organic, bold yet comforting. A layered palette designed to feel intentional, luminous, and deeply grounded.

Style 2

MODERN HEIRLOOM

This mood board feels moody, tailored, and quietly luxurious, like a modern townhouse with old-soul bones. The black marble, warm wood, brass accents, and classic checker tile give it that elevated European feel, while the clean white cabinetry keeps it grounded and timeless. Confident & Sophisticated. Moody neutrals. Clean lines. Warm metals. A study in contrast where heritage details meet modern clarity. Elevated yet inviting, dramatic yet disciplined, a palette that embodies quiet luxury with presence and poise.

Style 3

MODERN MOSAIC

This mood board feels artful, grounded, and globally inspired, like a collected home layered over time. The deep blue cabinetry, terracotta tile, terrazzo, patterned motif, and warm copper tones create a palette that feels expressive yet anchored. It's bold, but thoughtful. Vibrant, yet balanced. Elevated & Editorial. Rich terracotta, deep indigo, and expressive pattern layered with intention. A balance of structure and artistry, where global influence meets modern clarity. Grounded yet vibrant, bold yet composed, a palette designed to feel curated, soulful, and enduring.

Style 4

VERDANT CALM

This mood board feels grounded, elevated, and quietly luxurious, like nature brought indoors but refined through clean, modern restraint. A serene balance of organic texture and modern simplicity where deep mossy greens, warm wood tones, aged metal, and soft stone meet to create a space that feels both grounded and quietly elevated. This palette brings the calm of nature indoors, softened by clean lines and understated warmth for a timeless, restorative atmosphere.

SERVICES

Design Consulting

Here to guide you through the "how to make it work," phase by helping focus in on your layout, discussing your personal design aesthetic, and talking through the functionality of each space. I can provide a full assessment of the scope of the project, analyse the issues at hand, create design solutions, and apply the new design structure through project management.

2D and 3D Design Presentations

Present 2D and 3D design presentations to visualize and plan our concept. It is always helpful to see our flow throughout the space from a top-down "birds-eye" view to see how the furniture is laid out, as well as viewing accurate measurements, and technical planning.

With 3D views, this will allow all of my clients to see exactly what the final result should look like. It is more immersive and realistic to see what the space will look like from multiple views, renderings, and getting the overall "feel" of the room.

Floor Plans

I will create a scaled view diagram to show the layout of the space, including furniture, fixtures, walls, windows, doors, etc. This is a key element to ensure everything is proportionally accurate to real life measurements. We always want to make sure we are optimizing the use of each space as well as identify any structural constraints.

Accessory & Decor Calls

This is essentially my "accessorizing package." It is the final phase in transforming a furnished room into a cohesive home that is personalized to each client. I help select placement of art, rugs, pillows, throws, vases, and sculptures, to help introduce color, texture, and most importantly, personality. This phase is what turns a "nice" room into a "gorgeous" one by ensuring every corner feels intentional and complete.

Furniture Selections

Choosing pieces that will balance functionality with aesthetic. Selecting furniture that matches your style while mixing textures and materials to provide depth, quality, durability, and flow. This can be provided through purchasing appointments or digital mood boards.

Equipment Planning

Sourcing functional, durable and aesthetic items from kitchen appliances, to fixtures and lighting. For residential or commercial spaces, it is important to incorporate washers, dryers, refrigerators, sinks, etc. into our design considerations. Same goes for the impact that lighting, cabinetry, and specialized items can make in each room — how will these things help enhance the functionality of daily life.

Finish Selections

I will provide curated plans for all project materials such as flooring, countertops, and hardware to reflect your specific style, budget, and functionality. The core principles for this include establishing a hierarchy with scale, choosing materials based on high-traffic areas, or spaces with children and animals. Applying our budget properly by allocating more on the spaces where "high-touch" items like the counter tops and floors take precedence over things that are easy to replace later if needed.
